Thirteen Croydon Harriers made the trip to Crawley's K2 stadium on Bank Holiday Monday for one of the last remaining track and field events of the summer.

And it was the Irving' s that stole the show for the Harriers, with all members of the family competing during the afternoon!

U11 Yasmin Irving made her competitive debut in the long jump (2.55m, 8th) and 75m (12.19secs, 4th),

Siblings Shirin and Kariym Irving continued their preparations for the National Multi-Events later this month, with the former picking up two wins (U15G shot & long jump) and the latter winning the high jump (1.85m).

Richard Irving made a welcome return to the competitive fold with an 11.88m effort (15th in M35 rankings for 2010), while Rachel Bayliss set a new club record in the hammer (32.16m).

Another win came courtesy of Temi Ladega who threw 13.46m in the U20 shot putt. Faraz Rafi and Leah Anderson both finished 4th in the discus.

Elsewhere Robert Spalding continued his development by winning the U13B 1000m in 3:20.42, while training partner Michael Eagling shone in the 600m in 1.58.65 to finish 3rd.

Charlotte Cavanagh clocked 5:36.78 in the 1500m, while another Kavanagh (no relation) in the form of U13 Josie crossed the line in 3:08.54 in the 800m.

And…this reporter also competed…but the less mentioned about this the better!
